National Day of Racial Healing

January 22, 2019

The deep, dedicated work of fighting for equity and healing together as a community can be exhausting. Our work is heavy, endless and dire. So as we move forward into 2019, we know our work is not done. From addressing our own implicit biases to re-imagining, restructuring and dismantling racist systems and institutions as a whole, we carry on. The work is never done.

As we begin to carry out the vision for Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation efforts in 2019 that we created together over the past two years, we’d like to honor and celebrate both past and continued efforts of Healing work throughout our community with a party! Through the sharing of stories, poetry, music, food and celebration, we hope to come together to create an evening of respite and joy! Join us as we honor centuries of dedication, resistance, struggle, loss, gain and committed collaboration toward healing and equity.

Bring your neighbors, the kid your kid always brings home from school, your family, your loved ones, your colleagues and friends! Let’s begin our year in celebration of where we’ve been and where we hope to go, together.
