‘Make The City Sound Better’campaign is collaborative with London-based artist Yuri Suzuki and audio design company, AIAIAI headquartered in Copenhagen. The campaign is to coincide with the release of their new headphones, the Capital.

The cab was fitted with microphones to record the surrounding sounds as it made its way through the city.

A specialized software program inside the cab converted the sounds into unique music in real-time. The converted sounds are played over 67 speakers built into the car. Passengers can also listen to the converted sounds via headphones installed.

The taxi sounds different on each trip. Different frequencies are translated into melodies resulting from current traffic and atmosphere sounds. You can check out the translated sounds by clicking, ‘Make The City Sound Better’ website.
