Kalamazoo, MI-If like most Americans and the world were watching and predicting election results. Well before midnight EST on November 6, some major media news outlets called the election a win for President Barack Obama over Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts.
The president claimed critical wins in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. East coast voters, specifically, New Jersey voters faced many challenges in getting to the polls in the wake of wide devastation left behind by Hurricane Sandy, but at the polls their support went to the president.
Voter suppression attempts across the nation with long lines, confusing information, lack of information and last minute policies to requirements to voting did break the spirit of Americans to get out and let their voice be heard. Congratulations, President Obama on another four years, America did it!!
