Kalamazoo, MI- The Northside Ministerial Alliance would like to invite all clergy, community leaders and the
public to attend the 28th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration! This year’s celebration will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014, beginning at 4:00 p.m., at the Galilee Baptist Church. Our theme this year is: “Unfulfilled Dreams.” We are honored to have as our guest speaker, Dr. Michael Nabors, Pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist in Detroit, MI. Poet Develops Exchange Programme For Hip-Hop Artists
Poet Biko Mutsaurwa in partnership with the Chitungwiza Community Development Network have embarked in an initiative regarded as the African Hip-Hop Caravan.
The caravan is a networking pool of artists from Africa interchanging ideas and sharing the stage with American stars. There will be workshops available as well as discussion on how to develop the industry.
Concerts will be held in countries like Tunisia, Senegal, South Africa, Nairobi and Zimbabwe as part of networking and exposure. Proceeds generated from the concerts will benefit selected communities. The tour is scheduled to begin in February next year.
