President Castro and his administration are cracking down on radio an TV stations that cater to this genre or support artists producing explicit lyrics and misogynistic.
Vistel Columbié Orlando, president of the Cuban Institute of Music (ICM),stated that medicore and vulgar music does not represent the richness of Cuban music.
