Dawn Richards Gets Her Independent Hustle On With ‘GoldenHeart’
Once part of Danity Kane and Diddy Dirty Money, Singer Dawn Richards takes the indie route with debut solo album ‘GoldenHeart,’ a hit on the iTunes R&B chart.
In a recent interview Richards explained that she has had access to large label budgets, but since getting out of her contract with P. Diddy, she has relied on reaching fans through social media and shoe string budget for her videos, primarily seen on YouTube. Her independent hustle garnered videos for singles “Bombs,” “SMFU,” “Wild N’ Faith,” “Automatic” and “’86” have logged more than 1.6 million views and have appeared on BET and MTV.
