Queen Of Soul Inducted Into Gospel Hall Of Fame

Franklin is best known to the world as the “Queen of Soul” for such songs as “R.E.S.P.E.C.T” and “Natural Woman”. In 1972 with her live album, “Amazing Grace.” The album was recorded at her father, Reverence C.L. Franklin’s New Bethe Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan.

The Gospel Music Association inducted Aretha Franklin into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame on Tuesday in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The ceremony was held at the Trinity Music City venue and though Franklin was not present for the induction ceremony, she sent a video message to be played in her absence.
