Sy Smith songwriter, musician, actress, and music producer released her fourth studio album, “Fast and Curious” released earlier this year (March). The latest single, “Nights” (Feel Like Getting Down)a cover of Billy Oceans, “Nights (Feel Like Getting Down” released in 1981.
The fifth annual Bessie Smith Heritage Festival will feature a two-day celebration of music, visual art and culture. Music throughout the day and evening concerts planned for inside and outside the Bessie Smith Cultural Center Aug. 18-19. Rashaan Patterson’s, new release “Bleuphoria”, which was released earlier this year has written songs recorded by Jody Watley, Tevin Campbell, Brandy and Chico DeBarge.
