Have you ever gone out of your way to make sure that special child in your life had that gadget that had all the “bells and whistles” and all they wanted to play with with the package and the wrapper that it came in? Well, maybe I’m referring to toddler. Joelie Aeschlima, a student from the School of Art and Design in Switzerland has created a few wooden boxes that play music with an iPad.

When one of the boxes is set on the iPad screen, the tablet recognizes it and plays music when the box is cranked. Each box is a different size and plays various sounds when interacting with the iPad tablet. What you get is something between a hand cranked digital kaleidoscope. Check it out for yourself. [vimeo]45704273[/vimeo]
