Ariel Fuller a recent graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s in communications and a minor in philosophy, will compete against nine other contestants throughout the state at the Miss Black USA Illinois Scholarship Pageant on Oct. 27 at the DuSable Museum in Chicago.
The 22 year old Glenwood resident’s long-term goal is to attend law school to become a divorce and family lawyer. Short-term, become Miss Black Illinois, having already received the title of Miss Black Chicago Southland.
The winner will receive a scholarship toward higher education and will move on to compete for the national title of Miss Black USA.
